Coffee Without A Cup
By Janet Sever Hull
“Coffee Without A Cup” is about the time we share with others, and the love that is left. It’s also a story about healing and of hope.
I wrote the original version of “Coffee Without A Cup” about 20 years ago after the death of my beloved grandfather. Telling Janie’s story helped me deal with my own grief and sadness. Then, 12 years ago after the unexpected death of my brother, I rewrote “Coffee Without A Cup” while I was once again at the worst part of my grief journey.
We each handle the death of a loved one in our own way. If we are given the honor of disposing of a loved one’s earthly possessions, it’s one of the final acts of love we can show.
